History |
The non-profit charity Ukrainian Family was created in May 1994, in the year, which was announced to be the International Year of the Family. Today organization united more than 300 families with more than three children, 125 orphans, and 139 single elderly people. Among them are 26 persons with mobility impairments. Ukrainian Family is a non-goverment, non-profit organization. The main goal is to solve families' problems in social and spiritual directions, to assist upbringing of the nationally conscious children, to strengthen the family relations. |

Our Programs |
From Heart to Heart |
For orphans or chidren from single parent homes, who have poor living conditions or health problems, the Ukrainian Family tries to find sponsors. A sponsorship program helps to solve material problems and problems connected with the child's development and health. The most important things in this program is that throgh the letters exchanged between each sponsored child and its sponsor there is an invisible connection that goes from heart to heart. |
Help Young People |
One of the most important Ukrainian Family projects is to help schools, especially those where its children are studing. Ukrainian Family helps in different ways by funding resources for education of the talented children, organizing training programs and seminars for teachers and parents, improving meal programs, and buying school supplies, books, and furniture. |
Respect Elderly People |
Since 1999, the organization president, Iryna Naydukh, initiated an action "Share with people in need." Due to that project, all single elderly members of the Ukrainian Family, retired single teachers, and orphans who are more than 18 years old, started to receive food products every quarter. Besides the mentioned action, Ukrainian family always tries to help people from nursery home. |
